Game Recap

Penalties and turnovers limited the Raiders potential in our game versus the Blue Jays fo Southfield. The teams battled back and forth in the first and third quarters however each team was unsuccessful in scoring. The second quarter belonged to the Blue Jays as they scored three times to post a 20-0 lead going into halftime. The Raiders held Southfield scoreless in the second half and were able to score in the fourth quarter making the final score 20-6.

Game Summary

1Q

The Raiders spent most of the quarter on defense due to stalled offensive drives with a turnover and penalties. The defense was successful in holding the Blue Jays off of the scoreboard.

2Q

Again, another turnover and penalties led to limited possessions for North and scores for Southfield. The Blue Jays capitalized three times to go into halftime with a 20-0 lead.

3Q

The Raiders were successful in moving the ball in the 3rd quarter with their two offensive possessions and came up just short on a questionable spot on fourth down at the Blue Jay two yard line. The stout defense held Southfield scoreless once again.

4Q

The Raiders defense shut out the Blue Jays once again although time of possession was a determining factor in the game. The offense scored their lone touchdown on a 14-yard pass from Jared Fish to De'on Jenkins; the PAT was unsuccessful.
