Thursday night was Senior Night for North Farmington Volleyball and before the Lady Raiders matchup with Ann Arbor Huron, four seniors were honored in front of the home crowd. Katy Cangemi, Laylah Carter, Mikayla Hines, and Delayna Jabboori were all recognized and called up in front of the crowd with their families to celebrate their years with the program.

The first set was back and forth until the Raiders began chipping way to a 6-point lead at 20-14. AA Huron fought back to side out, but the Raiders were determined enough to push to a 25-21 set win.

Into set two, the Raiders struggled to gain a lead and Huron was able to pull away to a 16-25 win to tie the match at 1-1.

Off to another slow start, the Raiders really had to regain some energy while falling short to begin the set 2-7. With a kill and an ace from Senior Mikayla Hines, the Raiders were able to regain momentum to push to an 8-8 score. The set was back and forth until the Lady Raiders took the lead with another kill from Mikayla Hines at 14-13. Katy Cangemi and Mikayla Hines put away the ball to get the score to 16-13. With high energy in the gym, the Raiders were up on Huron 24-17 late in the third set before AA Huron regained control to side out to 20-24. The Raiders struggled to terminate the ball, letting Huron tie the game at 24-24. The Raiders dropped the set, giving the River Rats the match lead at 2-1.

As the fourth set began, the Raiders and River Rats battled for the lead. Again, in a nail-biting set, the Raiders fought their way up to a 10-7 lead. Pushing their way up to 16-10, the Raiders had full control over set four. Ann Arbor Huron came back aggressively to tie the game at 19-19. Three kills from Senior Katy Cangemi and a kill from Junior Bethany Lill, the Raiders took the lead again at 23-20. The Raiders let their foot off the gas to give Huron the opportunity to tie at 24-24. Mental errors ended the night for the Raiders giving Huron the win at 26-24 and a match win of 3-1.

An all-around effort from the Seniors ended a great night. Thank you for all of your hard work, effort, and dedication to the program!
